About Us
Our mission is to nuture, promote, and advance American folk and percussive dance in the City of St. George for the purpose of preserving and perpetuating American heritage dance as part of the lives of its residents. This will be accomplished through the education, creation, presentation and facilitation of Tap, Clogging, and Step dance.
Our Story
The All American Cloggers are a percussive rhythm dance team who have performed together since 1984!
They have entertained audiences in Japan, Hawaii, Mexico, Canada and Germany with high paced shows that present pop, country and traditional genres of music. Directors Megan and Nicole Metcalf invite students from age three to adults and AAC Alumni to celebrate their love of Tap, Clogging and Irish Step styles and present one of the few dancing shows that can be heard as well as seen.
Students perform locally throughout the year, compete at the Dixie Spectacular Competition, put on a show in Disneyland every other season and tour internationally.
Classes include beginning through championship levels and are influenced by Tap, Clogging, and Irish Step dancing. Technique is taught from a musical and rhythm foundation. This year, Irish style classes where students learn soft shoe technique and classic Irish steps along with hard shoe choreography have been split into their own category with the purpose of growing an authentic Irish dancing team in Southern Utah.
